                                                                BEN'S BIO:

 

BEN FIORE is a screenwriter, author, filmmaker and actor. A retired NYC Police Officer, he also served in the now defunct, legendary New York City Transit Police Department, patrolling NYC's infamous subway system.  He is also the recipient of numerous awards for his screenplays and has had several of his films officially selected by top film festivals. Ben also worked the rescue and recovery mission at the World Trade Center for several months after the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Ben is also the security advisor and stage assistant for his good friend, Shawn Klush, the world's premier Elvis Tribute Artist. 

Ben enjoys spending time with his lovely wife, Marci, and their two sons, Stephen and Christopher.  He is also employed as a Supervisory Aide (security) at Memorial Junior High School in his hometown of Valley Stream, New York.

--"The Sunrise Man"  Ben has teamed with European director Werner Schumann and Brazilian screenwriter and playwright, Altenir Silva, on this modern day Western, reminiscent of "No Country for Old Men". The script is currently being shopped to producers and A-list talent. 

--"Condemned"  Ben's thriller short continues to be recognized by the film festival and contest circuit, recently copping a first prize genre award from The Hollywood Hills Screenplay Competition, September, 2017.

--"The Third Round"  is a compelling feature length screenplay by Ben and Guy Casale, ex-heavyweight boxer. It's the story of Casale's big fight against legendary street tough-guy and ex-con Bobby Halpern at Madison Square Garden and the dark events in Casale's life that got him there.

--"Blood and Loyalty" is a gritty dramatic thriller screenplay about two delinquent brothers who make a bad decision and a bizarre twist of fate that destroys their lives. It's based on Ben's award winning short script. 

--"DEEP BLUE: NYC Transit Police" is a crime drama TV series co-created by Ben and Mark Riccardi about the now defunct NYC Transit Police Department which fought crime in New York's subways!
